Putting off decisions you have thought about making occurs because sometimes people are just plain afraid of what will happen if they go this way, or that way. They don’t want to hurt someone else’s feelings, and they keep on not making the decision because they are afraid of what will happen.
It might be too much work, or what will happen might not be good enough.
I say it is all about making a choice that could change your life.
I just recently retired from teaching, a big decision for me. A long time ago, I read an article in THE READER’S DIGEST about throwing your hat over the fence, which meant that you then had to go and get the hat. There was no other way to get it.
It might not have been easy getting that hat!
Decisions aren’t easy sometimes, and they can change your life one way or the other. Now, if I don’t have enough money, I will have to figure out what to do about it. Maybe I will have to find something else to do, deal with the consequences, but I have chosen my path, and there’s no point wishing I was still teaching.
I would like to think I have a little bit of courage. (You can encourage yourself, you know.)
I am now going to focus on how my retirement will benefit me, and I am going to take the ups with the downs. It is called Taking Care of Business or Floating My Own Boat.
